10/29 - Club Hoodies!
By the off-chance you didn't catch us letting you know about the club hoodies on discord 2 weeks ago, you have roughly 2 days left to get them!
You can buy a club hoodie by going to your "MyPaymentsPlus" account and selecting the esports hoodie.
Get them quick because they're not coming back after this!
(They cost: $35)

10/25 - Apology
Sorry about this!
We're not going to have a meeting this week either.
Honestly, this club has a lot of stuff to fix, and we plan to be transparent when we get to the next meeting.
We want to air out a lot of the problems we've been having, so most of the members understand what we're struggling with.
The staff and the club want to apologize for the extreme lack of anything happening this year. It's because of our own disorganization, and we take full responsibility for the lack of anything happening in this club.
Off of that, we're also moving club meeting days to Thursdays after school.
Thanks for understanding!

10/16 - Misunderstandings?
Hello there! We're back in action and ready to go! (Due to some complications with the bot, this is a day late)
Every single day this week, we'll be announcing something important (including today)
Today, we're updating our websites to the extent we can.
Here are the changes you can expect:
-Updates to Current Team Roster Pages
-Page dedicated to Sport Vs Club
-Our current staff members
Here's a quick poll about our club hoodies, t-shirts, and long sleeves: https://goo.gl/forms/Jc3nfEHk2ewEgyrA3
IMPORTANT
There has been a misunderstanding that was cleared up yesterday. Apparently, due to GHSA/NFHS laws/rules, the club is not allowed to have *any* team relating to any game they on their roster. Because of this, we are cutting League entirely from our club. As a result of this, we will be unable to help any League players or the sport. If you are a League player, you must sign up for the sport through the PlayVS website (which you should have received an email for)
FOR LEAGUE PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN THE **SPORT**, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO COME TO THE MEETINGS EVERY TUESDAY AT ROOM 1142. WE DO NOT HOLD THOSE MEETINGS. COACH SAPP RUNS THE MEETINGS AS PRACTICES.
For those who are playing competitively:
-Please double check with your coordinator that you are in the player discord
-If practices have not already started, they will be started by next week. Please remember that we will be recording attendance
-Due prices will be announced by the end of October and collected by coordinators by a TBD due date
-For coordinators, if you are not currently in the player discord or you do not have a section, please let the secretaries know
For those who are casual players:
-We are currently looking for a "casual coordinator" (someone who wouldn't mind organizing more casual events for our club)
-We're brainstorming ideas for some pretty neat club events including perhaps going out to eat or something similar -I'm jotting this down TWICE because of how important it is we find a casual coordinator. We'd love to hold events, but we're confused on what to do and more focused on the competitive aspect of the club.
If you have time and the passion, please contact David directly about becoming the casual coordinator for the club
That wraps it up for today! See you tomorrow!

10/15 - Website Update
We haven't been too active in the club this year due to complications between the club and the sport. We'll be updating the page very soon with extra pages and updated pages.
For anyone that may still be confused between the difference of the club and the sport, we'll be adding a page dedicated to just explaining it.
Over this next week, we'll be announcing something new every day. Please keep checking the website and discord.
There will be no meeting this week due to the "off" day this Friday.

9/13 - Club Meeting
Come to our meeting this Friday for fantastic insight into the futures of the club (this including: new tournament ideas, games to play, t-shirts, etc.). This would be a wonderful opportunity to get more involved with the club. We hope to see you there!
9/9 - Tryouts
From Fortnite to Hearthstone, we have a huge roster of games that you can play with us competitively. As stated before, we highly encourage participating in this regardless of your skill. If you would like to tryout, please fill out the form here.
Tryouts will begin shortly after all of the forms have been analyzed by the corresponding coordinator. Good luck, and have a good night!

9/8 - Summary of the Club Meeting
We have some things that we would like to go over in case you missed the meeting.
Let’s start with etiquette! We want to make clarify any form of toxicity or flaming is bannable. We understand that you like to mess with your friends on the occasion, but just do not cross the line alright? It’ll make things easier for me and you.
Tryouts! Player tryouts for most games will start tomorrow, and we need as many people as we can get into the competitive scene. If you play a game and you want to fully immerse yourself into it, join the team. It doesn't matter what your rank is or how good your friends think you are, we will be there every step of the way to help you improve.
Thanks for your time!

8/26 - Condolences to Victims
We are aware of the tragic mass shooting that happened in Jacksonville, Florida during a professional match for Madden NFL 19 today. We are deeply saddened by this event and would like to express our condolences to anyone at the event.
We respectfully ask that you don't use this event to:
-Advance your own political agenda
-Make jokes or memes
-Warp the event to your own advantage
Forewarning to anyone who may research deeper into the event, for your own sake, please do not watch the graphic video.
Update: If any media outlet approaches you and asks you to answer questions regarding [what happened] and how it relates to video games, DECLINE THEM OR DO NOT ANSWER THEM.
Several news outlets are looking to distort the situation to build a case toward how video gaming relates to violence.

First Meeting Of The Year!
The E-Sports Club is holding our first meeting in room 2817 on 8/15 (Wednesday) afterschool at 4:00! We highly recommend you attend this meeting, and we recommend you invite anyone else interested in the club whether it be for the club or for the sport. (Basically, bring everyone you can!)
We hope to see you there!
