About Us
We are the Lambert High School E-Sports Club
For years, gaming has been considered as nothing but a mere waste of time. The lack of any physical exertion has led many to believe that gaming could never evolve into anything more than a niche hobby. Today, we stand together to show the world that gaming is more than just a hobby. E-Sports has begun to create waves across North America, and the country has taken notice.
As Lambert Students, we have taken notice and initiative to create the opportunity for the students of our schools a chance to join the world of competitive gaming.
Our staff is filled with people who are passionate enough to dedicate time out of their school year to help make this chance possible.

How to join the club
Head on over to important sheets and files. There, go ahead and fill out our Contact Form for 2018-2019. After you fill that out, go ahead and join our discord, groupme, and remind. If you'd like to sign up for a team, please visit the Tryout section of this website.
Rundown of the Club
To explain the club efficiently, it's better we start by generally explaining how the club works.
To start, the club is split into 3 different sections: Casual, Competitive, Staff.
The two sections that actually matter to new or returning members are Casual and Competitive.

This is where every new member will start. In this section of the club, you'll be participating in events, coming to meetings, attending in our local tournaments, talking to the other members, etc. Feel free to use the club as your way of winding down after a long day of school. We also use this section of the club to:
- Introduce Gaming to People who have never tried gaming - Help familiarize people with the different types of games - Have discussions about e-sports - Have a "floating" ground for those who are looking to join the competitive side of the club |
Almost nobody will ever get into this section of the club. This club runs on a strict "inheritance"/"referral" type of staff recruitment. As harsh as this seems, it is to uphold our passion and beliefs for the club in order to further preserve and better the club as a whole. However, this does not mean it is impossible to get a staff position. Every year, there will be a staff recruitment held in order to further expand or refill positions in the club board. Additionally, you can contact the co-presidents for a position in the club. Rarely, we will give positions to someone who asks for a certain position we may be short of. There are no grade or age requirements for the positions on staff. For more details, please read the club constitution. Any further questions or complaints may be directed to the club email.
|
This section of the club will only apply to members that plan on joining a team and competing in State/National tournaments for different games. This section of the club has a separate player discord, and a rigorous practice schedule that must be upheld along with grades. The only way for members to join this section of the club are through tryouts that are held every once in a while. We will announce tryout periods through school announcements and through Discord.
